The Citrus County Veterans Coalition is available to assist veterans and their widows for the following: assistance in payment of utilities, payments for rental or lease for home, assistance in home repairs, car repairs, payment toward medical or dental, supplemental food as needed or normally once a month. The Veterans Coalition also has various medical assist devices available, including electrical scooters/wheelchairs. We offer scholarship assistance at Withlacoochee Technical College. We are available by phone, call Bob at 352-400-8952 or Richard at 727-492-0292. We will respond to a Veterans emergency needs for food or assistance. We are open every Tuesday from 9 AM to 12 noon and
the first and third Thursday from 9 AM to 12 noon of each month.

The Foundation’s primary mission is to timely
disburse grant assistance from the Foundation’s available funds to
honorably discharged veterans or their surviving spouses who are Citrus
County residents for short term emergency expenses upon verification of
eligibility and need by the Citrus County Veterans Service Office and
approval by a majority of the Foundation’s board of directors. The Foundation's educational activities inform the community at- large about local veterans' needs and apprise the veterans' community of available financial assistance and social services. All emergency financial assistance eligibility and need are verified and dispersed by the Citrus County Veterans Service Office. Every dollar donated, except for required Internal Revenue and State of Florida filings and fees, directly support local veterans or their surviving spouses in temporary financial crisis.
